Your privacy, plainly
Privacy Policy
The short version: this is a static practice site, so there is almost nothing to collect. Here is exactly what that means, in plain language.
Privacy policies are usually where a calm feeling goes to die — pages of dense clauses that leave you more worried than when you started. This one is short on purpose, because there genuinely is not much to tell. Line Check is a static study site. The pages you are reading are plain files served to your browser; there is no account to create, no login, and no database of users sitting behind them.
So here is the one thing worth knowing before anything else: when you take a practice test on this site, your progress stays in your own browser and is never sent back to us. Everything below just spells that out.
Stays on your device
Your practice progress never leaves your browser
The practice deck remembers which questions you have answered so you can step back and review without losing your place. That memory lives in your browser’s own local storage, on the device in front of you — it is not uploaded, not tied to your name, and not visible to us. Clear your browser data and it is simply gone.
| What the site remembers | Where it lives | Who can see it |
|---|---|---|
| Which practice questions you’ve answered | Your browser (local storage) | Only you, on this device |
| Your place in the review deck | Your browser (local storage) | Only you |
| Filter choices (topic / difficulty) | Your browser, for this visit | Only you |
The whole picture
What this site collects
Because the site is static, the honest answer is essentially nothing that identifies you. There is no sign-up form, no newsletter capture, and no profile being built in the background. The table below is the whole picture.
| Category | Do we collect it? | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Name, email, account | No | There is no account to create and no form that asks for one. |
| Quiz answers & scores | No — stays local | Held in your browser only; never transmitted to us. |
| Tracking & advertising pixels | No | No advertising pixel, no ad-network tags, no cross-site trackers on these pages. |
| Standard server logs | Maybe, briefly | Like nearly every website, the host may keep short-lived technical logs (such as an IP address and request time) to serve pages and block abuse. These are not used to build a profile of you. |
If you get the app
The app stores have their own rules
The one place your data leaves this site is a door you open yourself: tapping Get the app sends you to your device’s app store. From that point on, the Apple App Store or Google Play — and the app’s own privacy terms — govern what is collected, not this website. That is normal for any app, and it is worth a quick read of the app’s store listing before you install.
The privacy choices you control
You are not at anyone’s mercy here — almost everything is already in your hands. Three simple controls cover it:
Clear your practice progress any time
Clearing your browser’s site data for this domain erases your saved quiz progress instantly. Nothing is kept on our side that we would need to delete.
Use a private / incognito window
Study in a private window and your progress is discarded the moment you close it — handy on a shared kitchen, library or school computer.
Ask us anything about your data
If you are ever unsure what happens to something you typed or tapped, reach out through the contact page and we will answer plainly, no legalese.
A static study site cannot lose what it never collected — and your practice progress never leaves your own browser.
Privacy questions, answered plainly
Do you store my practice test results?
No. Your answers and score live in your own browser’s local storage on the device you study on. They are never uploaded to us, so there is nothing on our side to store, share or lose. Clear your browser data and the record is gone.
Do I need an account or an email to use this site?
No. There is no sign-up, no login and no email capture. You can open the free practice test and start answering questions straight away, no details required.
Do you use tracking pixels or sell my data?
No. These pages carry no advertising pixels, no cross-site trackers and no data-broker tags — and there is no personal data being collected to sell in the first place.
What about cookies?
The site leans on your browser’s local storage to remember your quiz progress rather than on tracking cookies. That storage stays on your device and is used only to keep your place in the practice deck.
What happens to my data if I get the app?
Tapping Get the app hands you off to the Apple App Store or Google Play, and from there the app’s own privacy terms apply. Check the app’s store listing for the specifics; this policy covers the website only.
How do I ask a privacy question or make a request?
Head to the contact page and send a note. Because we hold essentially no personal data, most questions have a short, plain answer — and we would rather give you that than a wall of legalese.
That is the whole policy. If something here is unclear, the contact page is the place to ask, or you can head back to the home page and get on with studying. Last reviewed September 2026; it will be updated if the way the site works changes.
